Is #nocoffeenoworkie your motto too? If you have listened to us AT ALL you know how much we love coffee here at Team Nutrition Genius. So we decided to bring Megan Armstrong, founder and owner of Kao Jai Coffee, on to Nutrition Genius Radio to talk answer all the questions we’ve always wanted to know.
Don’t forget to hashtag #AdventuresofSassyandPearl and #NutritionGeniusRadio while you are listening!
Meg grew up in the suburbs of Baltimore, Maryland where she was active in sports, girl scouts and playing the trumpet and quads in marching band. She headed to study health science at Lock Haven University in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania before finding her true passion serving three years full time with Appalachia Service Project (ASP) in Johnson City, Tennessee. Through serving with ASP, a home repair organization helping low-income families, Meg was able to meet many families with different stories and backgrounds opening her eyes to a different way of life and struggles many face in our own country.
Inspired to learn more about the people around her, leaving the country was the next step. Getting her passport stamped for the first time, Meg found herself in Chiang Rai, Thailand using her health science degree for the first time teaching high school biology (in English). Meg is most excited about helping others to understand the process behind our daily routines and to inspire others to strive to understand that just like coffee, each person we interact with each day has their own story that we can appreciate.
