Applesauce and Cheddar Stuffed Pork Chops


I love pork. If I had to pick only one meat to eat for the rest of my life it would without a doubt be pork. This was one of those meals where I was trying to finish the last of some of the things in my refrigerator (applesauce and cheddar cheese) and what better way to finish it off than stuffing it in pork?! I paired it with sautéed greens for a tasty and colorful meal. Hope you enjoy!

Applesauce and Cheddar Stuffed Pork Chops

Applesauce and Cheddar Stuffed Pork Chops


  • 2 pasture-raised pork chops (thick enough for stuffing)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp cumin
  • 1/4 tsp ground coriander seed
  • 1/4 tsp ginger
  • 1/2 cup shredded raw cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup applesauce


  1. Mix salt, pepper, cinnamon, cumin, coriander, and ginger in small dish
  2. Coat inner and outer surface of chops in spice mixture and allow to sit for 1/2 hour in the refrigerator
  3. Add cheddar cheese to the inner lining of the chops
  4. Add applesauce on top of cheese and close chops
  5. Bake in oven at 350° for 45 minutes or until juices run clear
