The Daily Dish of a Nutrition Genius Week 5

 So on this lovely day I decided to wake up for an EARLY morning workout at my amazing gym Crossfit AEvitas (known as a WOD in the Crossfit world aka “Workout Of The Day”). So at 5:20am I rolled out of bed, drank a glass of water, kind of tied my shoes, and then was greeted by this lovely workout:

Deadlift (Tough Triple (3 sec pause at knee)) @195#

21-15-9
Clean @95# 
Ring Dips @ 15-12-9 reps

AND JJ and I must be married too long because this also happened COMPLETELY unintentionally ( i pretty much don’t open my eyes until I get to the gym…so I blame him fully…good thing he is cute!):10425383_945902232533_5614994708293818459_n Yup that’s right we matched…whoops! 

Alright so you want to know what I ate right?! Let’s break it down:

Sassy’s Daily Dish

Every few days before breakfast I use coconut oil to do some oil pulling for about 15 minutes…so I end up looking super cool…more to come on this in a future post and podcast! Any one else do this?!

Pre-breakfast:

1 glass of water with the juice of 1/2 of a lemon and 1-1/2 tsp. magnesium powder
1 cup of homemade bone broth (not pictured)
1 cup of coffee with a splash of coconut milk, a dash of cinnamon, and a drop of vanilla
1 clementine

 

Breakfast: (Leftovers because THEY ROCK!)

Tea Time!

This day I had an AMAZING opportunity to meet with a fellow real foodie and nutrition genius herself, Dr. Sarah Lobisco . She is a Naturopathic Doctor in Ballston Spa, NY and she is brilliant and sweet and we got to gush about nutrition and real food over a wonderful cup of tea from The Whistling Tea Kettle in Ballston Spa, I highly recommend it there! I also recommend you check out Dr. Lobisco’s website and her facebook! She is a wealth of knowledge and was featured on Ben Greenfield’s podcast and will soon be on OUR podcast and we could NOT be more excited!!! (Happy Dance)

Spaghetti Squash w/ homemade creamy tomato sauce (dairy-free) and….LIVER meatballs 🙂 (Recipe to follow soon…and believe me not only is it Nutrition Genius worthy and nutrient dense…it’s DELICIOUS…JJ said so!)
